ALI- DIRECTOR & SUPPORT WORKER/ MENTOR

HI! My name is Alison, usually everyone calls me Ali. I love feeding people, design, art, music & the beach!

Just before you think for a second there that I have a white picket fenced life- do not fear- it is far from!

CAN & ABLE started with me. My youngest son was diagnosed at age 4 with full mutation Fragile X, a genetic condition & intellectual disability which affects the protein in your brain that modulates emotions. Like most carers in this position I hit rockbottom and needed to say goodbye to work for a season, I have an education background and was finding it too demanding. After a good break I got into a support working role & loved it! It made so much sense to combine my lived experience with my knowledge & start CAN & ABLE.

For good reason I am passionate about helping families & individuals who are facing similar challenges achieve the best for their loved ones & lives.

I hope we as a team can come along side you & practically help & encourage you along the journey assisting you to achieve your goals!

JACK- SUPPORT WORKER/ MENTOR

Hello! My name is Jack and I'm a musician, educator, support worker and engaged and passionate people person. I've worked with community groups and school/homeschool groups focussing on engaging people with their passions and goals through various activities. I've been involved with many families throughout my life as a music educator & support worker over the past 10 years and I strive to build strong relationships with individuals as to best cater to their needs in each moment.
I love music and sound, human movement, and getting out into nature to reconnect with myself and also connect with others.
I value fun and open-minded experience and connecting with people to help them reach their highest potential. I'm excited to meet you!

Hi! My name is Chloe. I'm compassionate, warm-hearted person who loves to share moments of laughter and fun with others.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading books, and watching movies or playing a board game with family and friends. Most nights I'll be watching a cycling race with my cat Boris.

I do the admin work for Can & Able, working behind the scenes helping to make everything run smoothly. I'm the person you'll hear from on the other side of emails when it's not Ali.

Hi there! My name is Carl. I am a positive, patient and open minded person who loves meeting new people, although new to the disability support industry I have had plenty of experience in coaching roles where I have enjoyed working with individuals, helping them reach there goals. I am currently halve way through my physiotherapy degree & I am a keen sportsman.
I look forward to positively impacting the lives as of many participants as I can.
